Maclaren Triumph Stroller Review

I don’t know how many stories I have heard about dads and moms who purchase cheap umbrella strollers only to find out that they ‘have’ to buy a new one weeks later. This is what happened to me. My Jeep umbrella stroller fell apart. The footrest snapped, and one wheel snapped. It left my daughter and I high and dry.

Maclaren strollers are built to last and I replaced my old umbrella stroller. Maclaren, a stroller manufacturer based in England is well-known for its high quality products.

Maclaren Triumph is a lightweight umbrella stroller made of strong aluminum that can swivel. Maclaren strollers are known for their quality and long-lasting durability. Maclaren Volo strollers have been my own for over four years. It looks and works as new.

Triumph’s handles are unusual for an umbrella stroller. They are designed to be comfortable for parents of all heights. The stroller’s foam padding makes it easy for parents to use.

Triumph’s wheels are made of small, lightweight plastic. This stroller has no shock absorption so you will find yourself gravitating towards any surface. You can turn around with the wheels swiveling so you have a great turning radius. My daughter loves to spin around in her stroller. If you need more control, the swivel wheels can lock. However, this feature is one that I don’t use.

The Triumph seat can be taken apart and put in the washing machine. You can adjust the angle of recline using a handy drawstring-like device. Parents have complained that the seat does not recline completely flat and doesn’t sit straight. However, most parents and fathers love this feature.

The Triumph stroller’s canopy is made of water-resistant material. It offers a similar level of coverage to other umbrella strollers, but it is quite limited. The Triumph comes with a substantial rain cover.

Triumph strollers unfold like a dream. Maclaren calls it the five second fold… It’s a two-second fold, according to me. The stroller can be lowered by pulling up on the latch. The stroller locks automatically in its folded position. With its carry strap, you can easily carry this stroller over your shoulder.
